Dayara Bugyal trek Itinerary:-
Day 1: Dehradun – Raithal
7400 ft. | 195 Km
Pick up from Dehradun to Raithal which is situated at an Elevation of 7400 ft. Raithal will become the starting point of our trek.
We will start our Journey from Dehradun early in the morning via Uttarkashi, and we will reach Raithal within 9 hr. Approx.
Raithal is a small pahadi village in Uttarkashi District approx. 42 km from Uttarkashi Town. It's a quaint beautiful village & Bae camp of Dayara Bugyal trek.
On the first day, we will stay at Raithal after a luscious Dinner, and the next Day Morning, we will start our Trek.
Day 2: Raitahal – GUI
9884 ft. | 5km
We will start our trek early in the morning from Raithal, after an energetic breakfast. The trail is easy and walks through the Jungle which is beautifully encircled by Maple trees and Silver & Gold Oak trees. In winter the whole trail is covered by snow and snow-covered trees also give us the feel of a Christmas tree with a heavenly view of Trek.
We make sure to carry 2 Litres of water there are no water Sources on the way. The Campsite is encircled by alpine trees, and we will spot some quaint village huts. Also, we found a small water lake near the campsite called the "Baranala Tal”.
Take short acclimatisation walks around the Campsite and rest overnight in your camps post-Delicious Dinner.
Day 3: GUI – Chilpada
19800 ft. | 3 km
We will start our trek post-breakfast, which is easy, and today we trek up to 3 km. On that trail, we will encounter some water streams where we will get water and continue toward Chilpada via a beautiful forest path. On the way, we will get beautiful views of some Himalayan Peaks such as Shrikantha Peak, Gangotri I, II, & III, Jali Peak, and the top View of Bandarpuch Peak.
On reaching the campsite we will get to the beautiful meadow where we perch our camp, and we will get a hot lunch at the campsite. Take a walk around the campsite and stay overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Chilpada – Nayata via Dayra Top
12100 ft. | 5 km (Dayra Top)/ 9200 ft. | 6km (Nayata)
Finally, we will start our journey towards the Summit of Dayara Bugyal. The trail from Chilpada is easy to moderate. We covered some steps under the trees of the Jungle and after a few steps, we reached the beautiful & vast meadows of Dayara bugyal. There we will understand the actual meaning of bugyal. Now the trail has become a little bit moderate, we need to carry enough water for the trek because there is only a single stream of water near the Dayra Top. The Meadows in late spring and summer are covered with beautiful & different colours of wildflowers and in winter the meadows are fully covered with a layer of Snow.
The final climb is steep, but it is worth it when you reach the top with stunning views of Dodital Range, Bandarpuch, and different Peaks.
We will spend some time on Dayra Top and then we descend towards our campsite Nayata.
Nayata is a beautiful campsite surrounded by Maple & Rhododendrons Trees. We will stay overnight at our Campsite.
Day 5: Nayata – Raithal
7400 ft. | 5 km
The Journey of this beautiful Himalayan bugyal ended today. We will descend back to Raithal post breakfast through a beautiful trail surrounded by dense forest. Approx. In 3 Hrs. We will reach the base Camp Raithal and take a little tour of this pahadi village and get to know the culture. After a survey gets a delicious dinner and stays in the lap of the Himalayan Village Guest House overnight.
Day 6: Raithal – Dehradun
190 km
Now, is the final day to say Goodbye to this Heavenly Himalayan Bugyal. After Breakfast, we will return to Dehradun with beautiful memories of this journey.
